HazelSHEILWhickham In memory of my beloved wife Hazel. I would like to express my gratitude to all professionals involved in providing care to my wife Hazel up until her peaceful passing at home on 24th November 2019. Hazel was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease whilst an in patient in Ward 43, Royal Victoria Infirmary in October 2019. The care given to Hazel on Ward 43 was wonderful, the compassion, kindness and sincerity of Dr. Williams and all the medical and nursing staff involved in Hazel's care provided great comfort to Hazel and myself at a very difficult time. It was our wish for Hazel to return home for what was to be her last days of life. I would like to express my appreciation to all who made this possible. Ward 43 Occupational Therapy, the MND Team, Ward 43 Nursing Staff, District Nurses, NHS Continuing Health Care and the amazing carers from First Call Care Agency who looked after Hazel so well until she passed away. The dedication of all NHS Staff in supporting my wife and I over the last few weeks has shown me how very special the NHS and its staff are. My sincere gratitude to all who contributed to our request, for which a cheque to the value of £500 has been donated to further support MND. Also thanks to Jill Abbott for the funeral service and to W Lauderdale & Son for the funeral arrangements. From her everloving husband Jim (James Sheil).
